The Judean Hills is one of Israel's premier wine regions, and its largest. The region is conveniently located between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and is easily accesible to both.  Most of it's wine production comes from the region's vineyards producing a range of wines from the higher elevations in the mountains to the foothills. Some of the area's wineries are located in the Ellah Valley which is where the battle between David and Goliath took place. It is a scenic region with many country roads that wind through the mountains. 

 

The region is home to some of Israel's renowned wineries as well as to many charming smaller family boutiques worth discovering during your wine tour in Israel. Many of the wineries produce wines from local vineyards which will give you an sense of regional flavors and terroir for an authentic Israel wine tour.
