Many travelers opt to visit the Golan Heights with it's scenic natural beauty together with it's ancient and modern history. So it is one of the enjoyable options for a wine tour in Israel.  You may already be staying in the Golan Heights but it is also accesible from Tiberius, Nazareth, and Haifa. A longer but doable day trip is availble from from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. Most of the wineries focus on grapes sourced fom local vineyards, which will give you a sense of regional flavors and terroir, but as with so many of the other wine regions throughout the country, each winery has it's own charm.
